Is it my taste buds or just the hype?

M back in Delhi..about to be a month now..and slowly slowly m getting back to my ways..exploring and experimenting..sometimes alone, and sometimes with friends.

This week i visited FastTrax and Kababs.

Fast Trax is a fast food restaurant in V3S mall, Laxmi Nagar. The ambiance is quite nice with cruiser bikes on display. However the restaurant turned out to be a poor cousin of Mc Ds. While Mc D's lacks variety, it boasts of quick service and world class quality and taste..both of which seem to be missing in Fast Trax.

Me and PP ordered Non Veg Salsa and Cheese Samosa - While Non Veg Salsa , is more like chicken kabab topped on a cold plate of salsa - somewhat edible, cheese samosa was definitely avoidable.

Our order took around 20 mins to be served but we had to go to the counter thrice to check if our order was ready - no one in the staff bothered to take the pains of informing the customers abt the order status.

All in all i rate this place 2 out of 5, and that just becoz of the ambiance.

Thats abt Saturday, on Sunday i went with Chetan to the very famous and talked about Karims in Chandni Chowk. Despite the mad rush, Old Delhi is a place worth visiting. It has a charm of it own, and after spending four years roaming arnd from place to place - Mysore, Hyderabad, and Pune, i relished it all the more.

The extremely narrow streets, the Nai Sadak, Paranthey Wali Gali, and ofcourse Karim's.

We ordered - Mutton Burra and Chicken Seekh Kabab for starters, and Chicken Noor Jahan,Kadahi Chicken and Tandoori Roti for main course.

While Mutton Burra and the Seekh Kabab were good (definitely below expectations), the main course was  quite a disappointment. Chicken Noor Jahan was made in green gravy and didnt look appetizing at all.

Also the place is always crowded, so its hard to get the waiter's attention. At one time we ordered Karahi chicken, and the waiter brought it in like10 secs - as if he took someone else's order and gave it to us :P

I wonder is it just the hype this restaurant has, or my taste buds are yet to adapt to the taste of Delhi!!??

Btw, the entire order cost just a little over 400 bucks - worth the money i would say.
