Moving to Delhi

Delhi->Mysore->Hyd->Pune-> and now back to Delhi.

4 and half years ago i left my city in search of a career, in a field i always wanted to be - software, and joined a company i always wanted to work with. The quest took me to Mysore and Hyd. But unsatisfied with the situation i was in, i left Hyd and landed in Pune. Initially my plan was to stay here for a year only and then to move on again..but the city held me back.

Its been three years almost in Pune now, i am in the same company, in the same city, in the same rented house and with the same roommates. A younger and more ambitious Pushkin would have revolted at the thought of this though itself, but time has told me to be more patient and to be at ease with my surroundings.

2007 - new place, new people, new friends and an enthusiastic me - 2007 was the year of parties and exploring Pune with my always cherished Cramer gang - Matheran, Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala, Mulshi to name a few outings of ours, plus innumerable parties that we had - Christmas eve at MG, New year at Chowkidani, the list is endless.

2008 was a tough one - failures after failures-frustration with the job again - and total lack of motivation-that is how i would describe 2008 - my machinery has gotten into a vicious circle of frustration and depression.

But in 2009 i clawed back to life - thanks to my friends and to be family ;) Started writing and it became my passion. Joined Salsa and pursued it with utmost sincerity and dedication. Burrp came my way and then i launced a site of my own.
In between all thing i started teaching at an orphanage near my home.  After the initial hiccups, things became smooth and i was able to establish a rappo with the students. But then i have to go leaving things unfinished.

Where i failed here was that i was unable to garner support, and to impress people to follow what i was doing. A few people did pitch in but they withered out in a week or two.
Where i failed was that i cudnt get a momentum going which could keep things ticking even when i was not in place, and the thought itself is quite saddening.

After 3 yes here i feel this is the place i belong. Somehow the smartness that characterizes people of Delhi is missing in me, and i get worried wondering if i will be able to adjust their again - adjust in my home, with the people, the weather and more..

But life moves on and with it i too - M moving to Delhi permanently and a new chapter awaits to be written.
