mY triP 2 tAMHIini GhaTs and MulShi

I have been to Mulshi Dam twice now,  beautiful river, clean blue waters, heavy rain, a wet me, garam garam pakodey and chai..the place is amazing. Its 40 kms from Pune (Chandni Chowk). The route is good for first 25 kms, but over the next 15 its a back breaker. But neverthless this place is worth going again and again. One of the ultimate romantic spots, and at the same time a fun filled partying place too. Its a place for one and all. This time when we came across this place enroute to Tamhini Ghats. When i was crossing Mulshi, it felt like I was in Australia or New Zealand. The endless blue water stretching out in front of us with greenery all around, it was sooooooo beautiful.

There are a variety of restaurants near the dam. The two that i have been to are Quick Bite, and Hotel Good Luck.
We reached Tamhini in about 3 hours. Though by the time i reached there my back was already paining but when i went through the stretch of Tamhini Ghats, i forgot all the pain. The stretch is a narrow road, surrounded by hills on one side, with waterfalls all around. One of the most beautiful sights of my life. But that was not all. We parked our bikes at one of the waterfalls, trekked to it as it was at some height (and it was quite an adventure), and then bathed in the falls.

Here are the pics.

Its a  place u must go to if you ever come to Pune. I have also put up the route to Tamhini for your reference.
